Annual Book Fair at USOL, PU

Chandigarh, September 24, 2019: University School of Open Learning (USOL), Panjab University, Chandigarh organized its Annual Book Fair at USOL Plaza, here today.
The fair was inaugurated by Dr.Madhurima Verma, Chairperson, USOL, Prof.Enamual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare and Dr.Jivesh Bansal, University Librarian.
The fair was organized with the aim to give an opportunity to students and staff to peruse the books which are highly influencing and based on day to day life, which benefits an individual to wider his/her knowledge.
The leading publishers/distributors/vendors from Chandigarh, Patiala, and New Delhi put on their latest titles. In all, more than 25000 titles on various subjects and disciplines including literature to history, management to science, feminism, social issues, defence studies, religion and competitive books etc were displayed at the fair. The response from faculty and students was highly encouraging as many aspiring young readers including faculty were seen gorging on many critically acclaimed volumes.
More than 2000 titles were shortlisted by the faculty for USOL library, which will be soon added in the library.
