Annual Athletic Meet ‘SMASH 2019’ held in DMC College Campus ground

Ludhiana, February 26, 2019: Annual Athletic Meet ‘SMASH 2018’ was held today in DMC College Campus ground. The chief guest, on the occasion, was Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta along with Guest of Honour- Sh Rajesh Sood (Joint Secretary, DMCH Managing Society). Sh Gupta congratulated the participants and told them to participate with full enthusiasm in this sports meet. Principal Dr Sandeep Puri declared the meet open and wished all the participants good luck for their performance. Dean Academics, Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina (Chairman, DMC Sports Committee) told the students to show their maximum strength irrespective of winning or losing. He acknowledged the combined efforts of faculty members of DMC Sports Committee and Student Organizers in organizing the meet. The meet got started with an impressive flag march ceremony. Students of different batches participated in the march past with full enthusiasm and zest. Convener of DMC Sports Committee-Dr Sanjeev Uppal moderated the proceedings. Dr PL Gautam (Co-ordinator) administered the oath to all the participating players. Secretary Dr Vineet Galhotra and Dr PL Gautam along with student co-ordinators managed the entire event with great meticulous and proper coordination. The meet started with ‘Tug-of-War’ game between the faculty and students, which attracted lot of applause from those present on the occasion. Other events played during the meet include shot put, relay races, long jump and athletics. Earlier, different sports competition were held, the winners of which were awarded prizes by the dignitaries present on the occasion.
