Amritsar, January 24, 2015: BJP National Secretary Tarun Chugh has hailed Rs.18,000 crore road infrastructure package announced for Punjab by Nitin Gadkari, Union Transport Minister for Road Transport and Highways.
Terming it as just a sample of 'Modi Magic', Chugh said Prime Minister Modi has envisioned overall development of the country and Punjab figures at the top in his agenda of progress and development.
The record announcement has set the ball rolling and the results will be there to see for everyone soon. The largesse doled out to the state in one go has clearly indicated as to what kind of plans the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has for Punjab and Punjabis.
PM Modi and Gadkari's intentions have sent green signal among the big investors across the country and the state would attract huge investment thereby giving a new fillip to the trade and industry in the state resulting in employment opportunities for the youth.
This is a slap on the face of Congress and other opposition leaders who had been claiming that the BJP was victimising Punjab and Punjabis. The hard-working Prime Minister with a vision does not have any such thoughts and in just a matter of seven months has proved that he was here to deliver.
Chugh said Modi and Gadkari have a vision for future and are not concentrating only on development of conventional infrastructure and means of transport.
This is a government which is thinking in terms of bullet trains, metros and sea planes. This is evident from Gadkari's announcement to launch water base transportation in Punjab.
The criticism of Modi by Congress and certain other parties is not cutting ice with the people of the country as they have full faith that the Prime Minister means what he says and was here to provide maximum governance with minimum government.
