28 renowned musical maestros to perform

Bangalore: Ananda Dhwani, a not for profit organization promoting Indian Classical Music and Dance, has announced the Whitefield Music Festival 2018 (A Rare and Unique Jugalbandi Series) in the city. The Festival is curated by Indranil Biswas and Prabir Bhattacharya. The Festival was started in 2011 with the goal of exposing audiences to the nuances of Indian Classical Music and Dance. The aim is to promote and preserve the Indian Classical Arts, by nurturing talent.

The 2018 edition of the two-day event is being held on the 17th and 18th November' 2018 at Inner Circle Ground- Whitefield, Bangalore. 28 renowned musical maestros would be performing at the event to engage and entertain the audience through their unique talents. This is an open festival and the entries would be free.

Internationally acclaimed and renowned artists Mr. Unni Krishnan (Kathakali dancer), Mr. Biren Kalindi (Chhau dancer), Mr. Prabal Gupta (Director & Choreographer) and Mr. Prabir Bhattacharya (Sitarist) addressed the media during a press conference today.

In line with this, Ishita Dutta, Trustee of Ananda Dhwani says, “Indian Classical Music and art forms have been losing its essence lately and we tend to drift away from our heritage and culture. Through these events, we try to focus on creating an awareness about our art forms and thereby make music and art part of our lifestyle. We are offering free entry hoping to share the performances with a larger audience.”
