Ferozepur, March 19, 2013: All India Food Supply Workers Union staged protest infront of the office of District Food and Supplies Controller, Ferozepur to register their protest for accepting the genuine demands of the Union.
The Union leaders said, the Union has been demanding to withdraw the Contract System and engage the labour on regular basis but the government has not honoured their demand. The Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal and Food and Supplies Minister Partap Singh Kairon have placed the labour class in slave’s condition by implementing the last year’s policy.
They further said, in case their demand is not met out before the start of the coming season, they will intensify the agitation.
