Alchemist Hospital Lab gets NABL accreditation

Panchkula, October 12, 2018: Alchemist Hospital’s Lab has been accredited with National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories (NABL). This is the first private Lab in Panchkula which has been accredited with NABL. Laboratory accreditation is a procedure by which an authoritative body gives formal recognition of technical competence for specific medical tests, based on third party assessment and following international standards. Dr Vineeta Sood, Lab Director said that this developing system of international mutual recognition agreements between accreditation bodies has enabled accredited laboratories to achieve a form of international recognition, and allowed test results to be readily accepted on overseas healthcare amongst the countries which have already qualified as significant to ILAC Arrangements. This effectively reduces or eliminates the need for re-tested in another country and beneficial for medical tourism. She further informed that Lab is participating regularly in internationally recognized quality assessment programme of USA and has been placed in best category in National peer performance as well as worldwide peer performance since year 2013. Meanwhile Department of Lab Medicine at Alchemist Hospital has fully automated medical lab to handle large volumes of samples efficiently & effectively. The department has well qualified & highly experienced Doctors and Scientific officers. Under the supervision of highly experienced team, lab follows very stringent & strict quality system.
