AIR CHIEF MARSHAL BIRENDER SINGH DHANOA VISITS AIR FORCE STATION HALWARA

Jalandhar, October 26, 2017: Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa, Chief of the Air Staff and Mrs Kamalpreet Dhanoa President AFWWA, arrived on a two days inspection visit to Air Force Station Halwara on 26 Oct 17. They were received by Air Commodore Dhananjay Vasant Khot, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Halwara and Mrs Sanyukta Dhananjay Khot, President AFWWA(Local).
The Air Chief on his arrival was presented with a Guard of Honour by the air warriors of Halwara Air base. He inspected the Station for its operational preparedness and war waging capabilities and visited the upcoming new projects at the air base.
Air Chief Marshal Dhanoa while interacting with the station personnel appreciated their selfless devotion to duty and encouraged them to continue with their efforts in taking the Indian Air Force to greater glory.
Air Chief Marshal Dhanoa visited GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sudhar. The Air Chief was received and accorded a Guard of Honour by NCC Cadets. He inaugurated the newly built Sardar Bhaktawar Singh Central Library of the college named after the late President of the college governing council. The students of college displayed their talent in a spirited cultural presentation showcasing the heritage of Punjab. In his address to the staff and students of college, the Air Chief encouraged their wider participation and contribution in nation building.
Mrs Kamalpreet Dhanoa, President Air Force Wives Welfare Association visited various schools including the ‘Umeed Asha Kiran’, school for special children, other AFWWA ventures and interacted with the wives of the Air Force personnel.
