AIMTC organised Entrepreneurship Awareness Campaign

Jalandhar, October 29, 2014: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus organised a three- day Entrepreneurship Awareness Campaign  in collaboration with GNDU College, Jalandhar, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Sudhir Gera, Director Operations, IEC, Kirloskar Gensets Ltd was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session. Prof M J Kalra and Dr. Ashish Arora, both from GNDU College Jalandhar were the resource persons for the inaugural session.

The three-day campaign began with a welcome address by Dr. Shaveta Gupta, Convener, EDC. Sudhir Gera delivered a talk on ‘Role of Quality in Entrepreneurship’ where he stressed that the various possibilities available for entrepreneurship ventures, the gaps that exist and how young minds can find an opportunity out of them. He also explained how one can utilise time and resources optimally as he starts a new venture.

Prof. MJ Kalra in his address stated that the present economic scenario is conducive to bring out one’s entrepreneurial acumen. He exhorted the students saying it’s now or never.

Dr. Ashish Arora delivered a talk on ‘History of Entrepreneurship in India: A Prologue’

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus highlighted that this campaign is organised to motivate students to become job providers rather than being job seekers. The students expressed that this campaign is going to be a great learning experience for them.
