AIKMM to welcome “Jantantra Yatra” at Ferozepur on April 2

Ferozepur, March 30, 2013:  With a motive to create awareness among the people on the important issues of corruption and Lokapal Bill, the ‘Jantantara Morcha anti-corruption crusader and eminent social activists, Anna Hazare will be welcomed to Ferozepur on April 2 by ICSO an active social organisation for social reforms, said Satnam Singh Bhullar, General Secretary All India Kissan Mazdoor Morcha (AIKMM).

The leaders of the Morcha said, on April 2, Anna Hazare will be welcomed at Octroi Post No.5 on entering the Ferozepur and from there the caravan will proceed to Hussainiwala to pay tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh and his associates.  After that, Anna Hazare will address a public meeting in Ferozepur City where he will apprise the public about the importance of Jantantar Yatra and  his 25 point programme.

Bhullar said, an administrative committee has also been constituted in consultation with convenor Er.Rajvir Singh and Vikram Singla with regard to the visit of Anna Hazare, in which the representatives of various social organisations, farmers wing of All Indian Kissan Mazdoor Morcha and labour community. 

Hazare is to address eight public rallies during his five -day visit to the state starting the first phase of his yatra from Amritsar after paying obeisance at Durgiana Mandir, Harmandir Sahib and Ramtirath Temple, followed by public rally at the Jallianwala Bagh tomorrow followed by two more public rallies at Kapurthala and Jalaandhar before proceedings to Ferozepur.

Bhullar further said, “In view of common ideology of AIKMM and Jantantar Morcha, more programmes will be organised at the Punjab level in the coming days”.
