Aided staff look at Badal to accept their demand of merger/By DAVINDER REHAN, LUDHIANA

Punjab chief minister, Parkash Singh Badal should intervene personally to address the issue of aided-school teachers. Their second penal meeting with the state education minister ended in no decision. The staff union urged the Punjab Chief Minister to take initiative, intervene personally and direct the concerned official of the education department to arrange a meeting with the leaders of the Punjab Aided School Teacher's and Other Employees Union. Aided staff has been protesting against the delay in absorbing the employees of the aided schools in government service for the past four years. Aided staff is looking at Badal to accept their demand of merger with government staff.
