Afghan journalist to interact with Guwahati scribes

Guwahati: Senior Afghan radio journalist Abdul Mujeeb Khalvatgar will interact with member-journalists of Guwahati Press Club on 3 March at 3.30 pm. An MA in international relations, Khalvatgar is scheduled to address the city based scribes through video-conferencing from the capital city of Kabul.
Khalvatgar, who has pursued journalism studies in the Europe and USA along with Turkey, Sri Lanka and India, is expected to discuss about India-Afghanistan relationship, present trend of media in Afghanistan and the impact of alternate media on mainstream journalism.
Author of ‘Islam and Globalization’, ‘Provincial Councils and National Cooperation’ and ‘Ethics on Social Media’, Khalvatgar has been an active member of Media Law Working Group (Afghanistan), Journalists Ethics Codes, Access to Information Act etc and he can speak Persian, Pashto and English languages.
