Ludhiana, February 6, 2019: On the second day of Traffic Awareness Week being organised by Ludhiana Traffic Police, students of Bajaj College Chowkiman performed a street play on the issue.
Lalit Berry, General Secretary, Aditya Jaitly Memorial Society briefed that society organised the event to pay a tribute to the young theatre artist and photojournalist Aditya Jaitly who became a victim of a road accident and to spread a message of road safety measures via a street play directed by Imran. He said society would continue its efforts to aware the public to follow traffic rules as well as other issues.
ADCP S.S. Brar and ACP Gurdev Singh appreciated the initiative of AJMS. Addressing the students of different schools, Brar and Gurdev Singh asked them to be aware of traffic rules to avoid road accidents.
Later on, hundreds of students walked towards Gol Market, Model Town in the shape of a rally. The students were holding placards carrying slogans on traffic rules.
ACP Gurdev Singh said the event was dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Ashwani Jaitly Chairman AJMS, Balwinder Singh Raju, Harshleen Kaur, Karan Jaitly, Sandeep Singh Dhawan and others were present on the occasion.
