Ludhiana, August 3, 2018: Aam Aadmi Party volunteers from Ludhiana who have been long associated with the party since its inception organised a press conference at Circuit House, Ludhiana today.

Endorsing the decisions taken by Aam Aadmi Party Volunteers convention held at Bathinda, Amrit Pal Singh and Col.Darshan Dhillon said that Punjab Unit of AAP should be made Autonomous and unit should take its decisions independently. Remote controlled policies and decisions should be done away with and “envelope” culture should be stopped.

Giving examples of Gurdaspur and Shahkot by-elections, they said that people are increasingly drifting away from the party due to autocratic style of functioning of central leadership. Party’s graph has nose dived in past and serious and critical evaluation need to be done to restore the public faith in the party.

They further said that only those dedicated volunteers who worked at grass level should be given responsible postings in the party’s structure and sycophants should be removed to give Party a new set up.

Referring to large numbers of disgruntled volunteers who came to convention showed that party volunteers have been ignored and leaders have been imposed on volunteers by central leadership.

They thanked all those volunteers who made it to the convention at Bathinda and made it a great success.
