Ludhiana, September 20, 2016: Aam Aadmi Party volunteers lead by Zone Coordinator Col(Retd) CM Lakhanpal organised a 'shardhanjali Samaroh' (tribute paying ceremony) to pay homage to the Great Martyrs , who had sacrificed their lives in Pakistani trained Terrorists” attack on Uri Army Camp in J&K, near statue of Shaheed Major Bhupinder Singh at Bharat Nagar Chowk, here today.
The volunteers holding candles in hands stood along the both sides of road to express their respect for the supreme sacrifices of our brave soldiers, who without caring for their own lives keep vigilance on the borders of the country.
Prominent among others who participated in the function included state Vice president Administration Cell Jarnail Singh, State Joint secretary A&G cell Darshan Singh Shankar, Col Iqbal Singh Pannu, Subhash Chander, Rinderpal Singh Pali, Master Hari Singh , Rajiv Arora, Dheeraj kathuria, Baldev Singh,Sukhwinder Singh, Councilor Rakesh Prashar, Pardeep Kumar, Darshan Dillon, Bharpur Singh and Bir Sukhpal Singh.
Col Lakhanpal paying tributes to the martyrs said that our brave soldiers facing all kind of adversities safe guard our frontiers and sacrifice their lives for the safety and security of the countrymen. He said that Pakistan sponsored terrorism had crossed all the limits and now it is the right time to react and give a befitting reply, so that in future they could not dare to disturb peace and tranquility in border state of J&K.
