Aam Aadmi Party celebrates Independence Day in a Unique Manner

Ludhiana, August 15, 2014: The Aam Aadmi Party Ludhiana Team celebrated Independence Day in a unique manner today. Under the Leadership of H. S. Phoolka, the Party Spokesperson, Aam Aadmi Party Ludhiana held its main flag hoisting function at Jamuna Colony, Ambedkar Nagar with the slum residents of the area. Aam Aadmi Party Youth Team has been providing education to students of the area for the last few weeks and wanted them to experience the same joy of hoisting the Tricolor as normal school going children. Appreciating this spirit of the young volunteers, H.S. Phoolka decided to celebrate Independence day with these kids from the economically weaker section.

The children presented a beautiful cultural programme consisting of dance, song, poems and play on this occasion. Phoolka encouraged these kids by awarding them small gifts so that they would participate in further such functions too.

Speaking on this occasion, H. S. Phoolka said, “We will be truly independent only when each child even from economically weaker section of the society gets proper education and the opportunity to compete and excel at the highest levels. Only then will we be able to say that we have achieved Poorna Swaraj. He felicitated the countrymen on this 68th Independence day and pledge that we will keep working till we are able to eradicate corruption at all levels and also eliminate discrimination based on any criteria. Aam Aadmi Partys mission is to make a corruption free India in which Good education and Good health, which are the essential prerequisites for a good life which every citizen of this country deserves to have”.
