9 speakers share their motivational stories at CT World School
CT Group organizes Open Mic
Jalandhar, June 22, 2019: Giving a platform to people who are contributing their bits for the society, and to share their inspiring stories, CT Group organised one of its kind events named Open Mic session at CT World School. In this, nine speakers from varied fields shared their life struggle, challenges and accomplishments.
Speakers namely Deepak Rana (Representative of LGBTQ, Shaan Foundation), Seema Soni (Programming Director of Radio City), Neeteraj B Singh (Lok Kala Ratan Purskar Awardee), Pardeep Kumar (PLHIV Positive Speaker), Anjali Dada (Social Activist NGO-Soch), Manpreet Singh (Kathak performer & Yuvaa Theater Artist), Parminder S Sandhu (Model and Poet), Supreet Singh (Businessman) and Nidhi Kohli (NGO-Aghaaz) shared their life inspiring stories with the audience gathered.
Deepak Rana, Representative of LGBTQ and Founder Member of Shaan Foundation said, “The time has not changed for our community. Still, transgender community is seen with a different eye. We are working on providing good platform to people of third gender and are fighting for their rights. I was neglected in society at many times but I took it in a positive way and now I work for HIV/AIDS awareness in society. Let’s join hands together to bring a change in the society.”
Anjali Dada from NGO-Soch shared her journey of life when she started NGO for kids with autism. She shared that how her team train mothers and special kids till these kids learn and improvise.
Manpreet who is a trained Kathak dancer threw light on his struggling phase when his parents, society and dance academies refused to provide him training.
On this occasion, Parminder Kaur Channi, CT Group Co-Chairperson, Madhu Sharma, Principal CT World School and Amrit Kalsi, HOD Centre of Happiness were present along with locals of city.
Parminder Kaur Channi thanked the speakers for sharing their inspirational stories and also extended her support in any area whenever required.
