86 years old veer nari pays homage to her war hero husband, CQMH Abdul Hamid, Paramvir Chakra (Posthumous)

Taran Tarn, May 22, 2017: It was indeed an honour to witness 86 years old veer nari paying homage to her war hero husband, CQMH Abdul Hamid, Paramvir Chakra (Posthumous). Mrs Rasoolan Bibi visited the Samadhi of her husband opn 22 May 2017 at Shaheed Smarak at Asal Uttar, Distt. Taran Tarn. She was accompanied by her sons and grand-children. Many Veterans as well as civil and military dignitaries also graced the occasion.

Event began by a vivid recital of heroic deeds of CQMH Abdul Hamid, Paramvir Chakra (Posthumous) in battle of Asal Uttar during 1965 war. Mrs Rasoolan Bibi paid homage at the Samadhi and prayers were also offered. Various civil and military dignitaries also laid the wreaths at Shaheed Smarak and paid rich tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the honour and pride of our beloved Nation. Immaculately dressed troops of Gurki brigade presented a Guard of Honour to the brave martyrs.

Mrs Rasoolan Bibi also inaugurated a medical camp on naturopathy and Yoga science wherein specialist doctors from Delhi rendered valuable advice and treatment to locals and veterans. The locals were overwhelmed with her presence. She also motivated school children to join forces and serve the nation in best of ways.

While speaking to media persons, Mrs Rasoolan Bibi remarked that she is proud of her husband’s sacrifice for the Nation.
