8 hockey players of DAV College get selected for Shilaru camp at Shimla

Hockey players of DAV College, Jalandhar who have been got selected for Shilaru camp at Shimla, with the college principal.

Jalandhar, August 6, 2015: For the preparations of Junior Asia Cup to be held at Malaysia, 8 hockey players from DAV College, Jalandhar have selected for the practice hockey camp organised at Shimla.
To make the preparations of the upcoming junior Asia Cup and the FIEH Junior World Cup more stronger, a practice camp for the Indian junior(men) hockey team is being organised in Shimla. The players of DAV College, Jalandhar would be seen representing the Indian men hockey team in the Junior Asia cup, who have been selected in the camp.
Harjit Singh( captain , mid field) , Yugraj( goal keeper) , Simranjeet  (mid fielder ) , Vikram jeep Singh (defender), Harmanpreet Singh ( defender) , Varunkumar  ( defender) , Gurjant Singh (forwarder ) and Jarmansingh  (defender ) ; all of the players left for Shimla today.
The 2015 hockey Junior Asia cup is to be played in Malaysia, for which the team preparations are going on. The players will be selected for the National team after the last final selection, after which they will be taught all the technicalities. 
Principal Dr B B Sharma while addressing the players said, "Best of luck boys" and wished them good luck and quoted "It's all the fruit of their hard work". He said it’s a matter of pride for the college to have so many of their players getting selected, and he showed his firm believe that in the coming future they will definitely become a part of the national team.
The Head of physical education department Dr Manu Sood said all of the players are extremely outstanding and with their good practice and presentation, they will be able to influence the selection committee and become a part of the National team , thus making DAV and India proud.
Prof Saurabh Raj, Prof Gurpreet Singh and PRO of the college Prof Manish Khanna greeted the team members with their heartfelt good wishes.
