7 days NSS camp concludes at Guru Gobind Singh College of Education

Talwandi Sabo, January 9, 2015: 7 days NSS camp concluded at Guru Gobind Singh College of Education, Talwandi Sabo. During the closing day ceremony Dr.B.S.Dhaliwal Dean Academic Guru Kashi University was the chief guest. 

Dr.A.K. Kansal principal, welcomed chief guest and other staff and volunteers in this function. Programme officer Madam Khushpreet Kaur shared that during this 7 days NSS camp students carried out cleanliness campaign in the campus and surrounding areas including Sewa at Takhat Sri Damdam Sahib. They also planted the tree in the campus. Traffic instructor Sukhraj Singh from Punjab police also shared valuable information with students regarding the traffic rules. Makhan Singh(National Awardee) also delivered valuable information to the volunteers during this camp.

In the closing ceremony students also performed various cultural activities including songs and dances. On the basis of overall performance during the camp Beant Singh and Gurpreeet Kaur were declared best volunteers among boys and girls. Chief guest Dr. B.S.Dhaliwal, principal of the college Dr. A.K. Kansal and other staff  honored the best performers of the camp. Apart from the other all staff members and students were present in this closing ceremony of this 7 days NSS camp.

Sukjhraj Singh Sidhu (M.D.) highly appreciated the efforts of Dr. Kansal and his faculty members for the successful completion of this camp. He also stated that such activities are highly needed to develop overall personality of the students.
