62nd All India Railway Golf Championship to be held at RCF Kapurthala from Nov 17

Kapurthala, November 16, 2017: The 62nd All India Inter Railway Golf Championship is all set to begin at the RCF Golf Course on November 17. Railway Sports Promotion Board has entrusted RCF Sports Association of organising this championship from 17th to 19th November 2017. This is the 11th occasion for RCF to play the host for above championship.

75 golfers from 18 Railway Teams across the country would participate in this championship. Each team can play four golfers besides one licensed player. The Championship holds promise for several young and talented golfers as a large number of amateur players from various railways are participating in it.

RCF is the proud posseser of one of the finest golf course of the county which is amidst very natural setting over an area of 115 acres. The course has a sightseeing picturesque with undulating fairways guarded by trees on both sides.

On this occasion, a meeting of RCF Sports Association was held today to work out the arrangement details to make the mega event successful. The meeting was attended by Sh C M Jindal , President RCFSA & PFA/RCF, Sh K D Ralh,Vice President RCFSA & CE/RCFR and the members of RCFSA. Sh Shamsher Singh Kalsi, Hony General Secretary RCFSA and CWE/ RCF elaborated on the championship preparations that all possible arrangements have been made to make the championship a grand success and for this, several committees have been set up which will look into the conveniences during the event.

The teams will assemble at RCF golf course on 17th November for registration and subsequent practice session. The event would take off on 18th November with the inaugural tee-off by General Manager of RCF, Mr. Ratan Lal. There are several prizes in various categories and the winner team would lift the coveted, T S Russel Cup. The prize distribution ceremony would take place on 19th November and General Manager of RCF, Mr. Ratan Lal will give away the prizes.
