50-yr woman gets rid of chronic low-back ache
Hoshiarpur, November 11, 2018: A 50-yr old woman, suffering from chronic low-back ache has treated successfully at Ivy Hospital, Hoshiarpur recently. Jagtar Kaur was suffering with radiation of pain to legs from the past since 2-yr. Her disc was dislocated and she was unable to stand and walk without support since 6-month with hypoesthesia and paraesthesia in leg. Dr Harpreet Singh Bhatia and Dr Avijit Singh Mahajan both MS-Ortho operated upon the patient with the help of anesthesia team including Dr Jyoti Bedi Dr Manpreet Kaur and Dr Harpreet Singh Atwal. She was given treatment of translumbar interbody fusion with tantalum cage. Talking about the procedure , Dr Bhatia informed that in Punjab ‘zimmer tantalum cage’ has done first time. In this procedure, patient can stand within 12-hrs after the surgery, 100% resolution of symptoms and preventing degeneration of adjacent levels as well.
