Hyderabad, January 17, 2019: Designing own garden, growing own food, bringing nature into home seems to be a growing trend in the city

One visit to the just inaugurated 6th All India Horticulture & Agriculture Show and Grand Nursery Mela, which kicked off in the city on Thursday at People’s Plaza, Necklace road indicates this growing trend.

Starting from today, the show will go for five days and will conclude on 21st January. It is open to the public from 9 am to 9 pm and the entry fee is Rs 20/-.

Shyamala, a visitor and a 77 years old retired teacher says “Why to go on vacation, when you can make your small little place in your home, back yard, garden, terrace a beautiful place. So that you can feel like you’re on vacation all year round?”

Homemakers, Gardeners, Landscape consultants are finding our innovative ways to enjoy a staycation in the comfort of their own little place, backyard, garden. These little innovative gardens can make your home a beautiful picnic stop so that you need not to search a place for your vacation, says Shyamalan.

Nature has all answer to all sorts of problems. From plant-based foods, nutrients, medicines, forest bathing, nature walk, therapies, consumers are focusing on mother nature add Khalid Ahmed, who is also an expert in the nursery business for the past 30years.

IC Mohan of Ganga Nursery from Sangareddy, who claims to have extended Horticulture Services to C.M. K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Harish Rao, Kavitha, and many others says the trend today is that more and more people are asking for Guava and Papaya plants because of fiber in Guava and Vitamin A in Papaya. People have become more health conscious and they want to grow their own fruits.

You need any cloned Fruit plant type in the world we have the claims very proudly. Ganga Nursery which bagged best Nursery Award from Horticulture Department for six years has 40 years of experience in the Nursery business. They have put up a stall at the show.

Another interesting trend noticed is a collection of wide varieties of Bonsai. Bonsai helps in bringing Nature in the form of Miniature Trees to home comments Dinesh Madaram, a Bonsai Designer. He showcased Thailand Ficus, a Bonsai plant that costs Rs 25000/-

Safi Nursery showcased 60 years old 7 feet height Bonsai Plant that costs Rs 1,70,000/-. If asked if there would be any buyers, the representative of the stall claimed that they will end up selling at least 25 of such Bonsai plants.

Pocket Succulent Plants, Artificial Plants, Innovative Planters to Plant, Flower Pots were also on display.

A Green Station Vehicle, a mobile truck which sells organic fruits, vegetables and groceries is stationed at Gated Communities was displayed at the Show. They currently have two trucks. These Green Station Vehicles bring organic food close to home.

Organized by Association of Event Organisers, it is showcasing different Gardening methods, Various Plant Collections from all over the country; Trends in Terrace Garden, Vertical Garden and Latest Technologies and Innovations in the Agriculture & Horticulture Industry.

80 stalls comprising Nurseries from Bangalore, Pune, Kalingpun, Kadium, and Hyderabad are put up as part of the show informed Mr. Khalid Ahmed, the organizer.

Some of the exhibitors include Safi Nursery, Ganga Nursery, Harla Arts, Sneha Nursery, Tray Trees, Khushnoor Enterprises, Srinivas Agro Products, Pandit Art Ceramics, and others.

It is the sixth year in the row, the show is being organized shared Khalid Ahmed.

The objectives of the mela, according to Khalid Ahmed is to create marketing avenues for Nurseries, to popularise different species of plant material, bring farmers and suppliers together, to provide a platform for those who are looking to set up a home garden, terrace garden, vertical garden, kitchen garden. Also to spur interest in ornamental gardening and to spread knowledge about garden accessories, material and irrigation systems.

The other attractions of the show include Flower Plants, Indoor, Outdoor, Cactus, Succulent, Medicinal Plants, Bonsai and various bulbs and Seeds. Organic Food Material, Confectionary Food Stalls are few other attractions.
