47 Candidates trained by MGSIPAP figure in list of successful PCS and Allied Services Results declared by PPSC

Chandigarh, March 3, 2015: The Civil Services Coaching Centre set up at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA) three years back, has achieved laurels in PCS & Allied Services results declared by Punjab Public Service Commission on Saturday last. 47 candidates made their entry through Mock Interviews trial into the list of successful candidates of PCS final result declared by the Punjab Service Commission. Out of 47 successful candidates who had appeared in the Mock Interview test in MGSIPAP before the final interview in the PPSC included 35 candidates in General category, first three ranks in Sports category, Ist rank in SC-ESM category, six candidates in SC candidates and one in BC category.
The Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration has been imparting quality training to assist/guide and help students of Punjab and its neighboring states by excellent faculty. The record of the last three years shows that 68 students of the institute got place in the final list of PCS and allied services examination held in 2012, 58 students in such exam held by PPSC in 2013. It is creditable that 12 students of the Institute figured in the final list of IAS and allied services in 2013 and 8 students in these premier services in 2014, the results for which was declared by the UPSC.
Complementing the successful candidates in the PCS results, Punjab Chief Secretary and Director General MGSIPAP, Sarvesh Kaushal and Director Raji Shrivastva said that Punjab had enough talents to crack the tough civil services examinations being conducted by PPSC and UPSC. The institute has taken up this responsibility to explore and nurture talent who can pay back to the society in a significant manner. The institute is coordinating with high caliber professionals who are experienced over the years in framing and grooming students into efficient civil servants, deeply concerned to the cause of the Indian society.
