The 3rd World Bamboo Workshop 2019

Chandigarh, January 16, 2019: The 3rd World Bamboo Workshop 2019, jointly organized by World Bamboo Organization USA, DICMA Trade, Mexico and the Government of Manipur is going to be held for the first time in India in Imphal, Manipur from 4th to 8th February, 2019 under the slogan “Breaking the challenges of Bamboo for a better future”. Prof. Chongtham Nirmala, Department of Botany, PU, Chandigarh, a World Bamboo Ambassador is representing Panjab University as the National Coordinator of this event. Delegates from 33 countries are participating in this event which will comprise of hands on training in construction, handicrafts and food and exhibits from all over the world. About 300 people are expected to attend the workshop.
