Dharamshala, October 26, 2017: As per the last reports received, as many as 349 candidates are left in the fray for 68 constituencies in Himachal Pradesh assembly elections-2017. The Dharamshala seat is being contested by the maximum number of 12 candidates. Here beside sitting Congress MLA (Urban Development Minister in Virbhadra government Mr.Sudhir Sharma (Cong) the other 11 candidates in the fray are: Ravinder Singh Rana (Ind), Pawan Kumar(BSP), Ashwani Kajal (Bahujan Mukti Party), Anup Dhiman (Ind), Kishan Chand Kapoor (BJP), Digvijay Puri (Ind),Vikas Kumar(Ind),Nisha Katoch (Swabhiman Party), Kamal Kumar (Ind),Pankaj Kumar(Ind), Subhash Chand Shukla(Ind).
Jhanduta (SC) constituency in Bilaspur district is the only seat where there is a direct fight between Jeet Ram Katwal(BJP) and Beeru Ram Kishore(INC).
10 seats are witnessing three corner contest, whereas 22 seats 4 corner, which includes the Arki of Solan district from where CM Virbhadra Singh is contesting,16 seats witnessing 5 corner contest including Sujanpur of Hamirpur district from where BJP leader and ex-CM Prof PK Dhumal is contesting. 7 seats witnessing 6 corner, 6 seats 7 corner contests. There is 8 corner contest in 2 seats and 9 corner in 3 seats.
