Chandigarh, August 4, 2019: Over 300 employees mostly women were examined during Ivy Hospital’s 2-day free multi-speciality health check-up camp at Gilard Electronics in phase-8 Mohali.
In camp, Ivy Hospital provided free consultation to employees for their health problems associated with neurology, general medicine, gynecology and cardiology. The employees were also undergone free BP, blood sugar , whole body check-up and ECG tests during camp.
During occasion the health talks on ‘hypertension and life style diseases’ and ‘know stroke and save lives’ were also held.
Addressing talk, Dr.Gurpreet Babra an Internal medicine expert said that patients with hypertension are at higher risk of damage to the organs like brain, kidneys, eyes, and premature heart diseases or heart failure.
Dr Sushil Kumar Rahi, a neurologist talked about how to manage stroke to save life. He said that due to improved stroke treatment, the death rate from strokes has declined over the past 20-yr. However, many people still don’t recognize stroke symptoms or realize strokes are medical emergencies, he asserted.
