Ferozepur, December 3, 2015: The BSF sentinels of 105 Battalion deputed at Border Out Post Jagdish have recovered three packets of heroin worth Rs.15 crores. R.K.Thapa, DIG, BSF, Ferozepur Range while giving details said special guidelines had been issued to all the sectors under Punjab Frontier for further strengthening the border domination to keep effective check the menace of narcotics smuggling and activities of Anti-National elements following which extra vigil was being maintained to thwart the attempts of smugglers. The DIG said that during a special search operation today morning, three packets of heroin were recovered by the troops of 105 Battalion deputed at BOP Jagdish. He said that the price of the heroin seized today is 15 Crore in the international market.
On 24th November, two packets of heroin were recovered by the troops of 105 Battalion at BOP Jagdish. On 20th November, 1 AK-47 Rifle, 2 AK-47 Magazines and 52 live rounds were recovered by the troops of 191 Battalion at BOP Tapu and on 19th November, two packets of heroin were recovered by 105 Battalion at BOP Shameke.
