On 2nd day of Punjab Natya Mahotasava – a theatre festival organized in collaboration with NZCC at Apeejay
Jalandhar, August 27, 2019: On the second day of Punjab Natya Mahotasava – a Theatre Festival organized in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala (NZCC) at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar; the artists of young Malang Theatre Welfare Society, Amritsar enacted a play “Total Syapaa” directed and written by Sh. Sajan Kapoor. The play narrated a saga of love conflicts between 3 characters in primary roles - singer, writer and actor by profession who fell in love with the same girl. Invoking humour and satire under the lines, the play spreads the message that love marriages in society should not be seen as something to be opposed and with the right stand and guidance, these relationships could work successfully. On the second day of this Mega Theatre Festival Mrs. Santosh Rishi presided the function as a Chief Guest. Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma welcomed her with fresh bunch of flowers and put forth that it is privilege to have art lovers such as Mrs. Santosh Rishi in college from whom our students get inspired. She also added that our students have achieved and work in the field of arts with pure dedication and hard work. Such Mega festivals undoubtedly add much to their knowledge, experience and even pave them the right path. She congratulated the artists for enacting and representing such powerful message in the society through the medium of play in the most lively manner.
