25 farmers of Hoshangabad District (MP) visit KVK, Amritsar, under exposure visit program

Ludhiana, March 22, 2018: Twenty five farmers of Block Babai, District Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh visited KVK, Amritsar today on exposure visit. In this exposure visit program the farmers were given complete information of the cropping pattern of district Amritsar. The students were given detailed information about different crops grown in the technology park by Dr.Bhupinder Singh Dhillon, Associate Director, KVK, Amritsar.
Dr Parvinder Singh (Asstt. Prof. Horticulture) shared the information on various vegetable crops being cultivated in the district and cultivation of vegetables in polyhouse. The different aspects of insect-pest management and diseases in Rabi crops were discussed by Dr.Astha (A.P Plant Protection) in details by the farmers. Dr Jagmohan Singh (Asst. Prof. Soil Science) demonstrated straw management of Paddy by making “Paralichar”.
In the end Dr Bhupinder Singh Dhillon, Associate Director, KVK Amritsar thanked the participating farmers.
