Ludhiana, August 20, 2012: Police have arrested two persons allegedly involved in several cases of snatchings in different parts of the city.
According to an official information, the arrested persons have been identified as Rakesh Kumar, a migrant from UP, and Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Mohalla Azad Nagar. Presently, Rakesh has been residing in a locality on Tibba Road.
A naka party had laid naka when both the accused were apprehended.
A case of snatching was registered against the accused at Police Division No.4 on September 14, 2011. They had snatched cash worth Rs. 50,000, a cell phone and a bank pass book from Amarjit Kaur.
Police have recovered cash worth Rs. 10,000 and a cell phone from the accused.
Further investigation is in progress.
