Jalandhar, October 30, 2019: Dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, two-day magnificent floating light and sound shows started in Dagara village near the banks of Sutlej River on Wednesday night amid massive response of the people.
Markfed Chairman Mr Amarjeet Singh Samra and ADC (G) Mr Jasbir Singh and others also had mesmerizing experience with the audience during the 45-minute floating light and sound show, organized with colorful visual presentations, ultra-modern laser techniques and unique acoustics.
The mesmerized audience experienced an immersive floating Light and Sound show on the life and journey of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The outdoor show unfolded into a multiple part story, immersed in a beautiful symphony of Colourful visual projections, Advanced lasers - all led by a creative soundtrack.
The floating light and sound show beautifully projected Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's philosophy in the form of his universal message to our society. Through the ethos of tolerance, peace, communal harmony, women empowerment and protection of natural resources were brought alive through these shows. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's efforts to promote social equality were also aptly showcased to the audience in right letter and spirit.
Markfed Chairman Mr Amarjeet Singh Samra said that that the endeavour was a humble effort by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to commemorate 550th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
He added that the experience of one God, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent and beyond all form and name was brought alive in the through these shows.
He also urged the residents of the district to attend these shows in large numbers along with their families.
The two shows would be also held on October 31 (Thursday) at the same venue from 7 pm-7:45 pm and from 8:15 pm-9 pm as a humble and befitting tribute to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji by the state government.
The entry for this mega event was free so that eternal message of humanity as preached by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji along with life and philosophy of the great Guru Ji was disseminated amongst the general masses.
On the occasion, SDM Phillaur Mr Vineet Kumar, Tehsildar Mr Tapan Bhanot and others were present.
