13 Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts represent India at Chengdu Textile College China
Jalandhar, December 1, 2019: The 13 students of Department of Design of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar represented India at the Chengdu Textile College, China under the guidance of their faculty members – Ms.Rajni Gupta and Mr.Shubham Jain. 5th Belt and Road International Culture and Art Week at Chengdu Textile College, China was held from 9th November, 2019 to 18th November, 2019 which was inaugurated by an energetic and traditional dance form of Punjab i.e. Bhangra by the students of Apeejay and their mentor Shubham Jain. The students of Apeejay also participated in Fashion Show where they showcased 30 costumes and also became the part of 7 day workshop where they learned Shu Embroidery, Traditional Chinese Costume, Leather Craft, Tie and Dye Techniques and Seal Making. Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma put forth that College is always in forefront for the promotion of studies in practical terms and always motivates them to participate in festivals/workshops organised nationally/internationally. She also appreciated the efforts of faculty members for guiding success.
