The 12th Edition of Freemasons Treasure Hunt flagged off and Drishti, a 500 Cataract Surgeries Common Charity Project of Freemasons of Telangana launched
Hyderabad, June 16, 2019: The 12th Edition of Freemasons Treasure Hunt flagged off and Drishti, a 500 Cataract Surgeries Common Charity Project of Freemasons of Telangana launched here in the city on Sunday morning at St. John’s Freemasons Hall in West Marredpally, Secunderabad. In a communication issued to the media today, Lodge Keys Secretary, D.Ramchandram informed that it is an initiative of Lodge Keys No. 297, the primary unit of Freemasonry, The Treasure Hunt was participated by 40cars. It was organised in aid of charity activities. The participants of Treasure Hunt were given ten clues. They have solve them and reach the culmination point, the Goshamahal BARADARI Masonic Building at Goshamahal not later than two hours. Each solved clue will get ten points. Also the participants need to perform a maximum of three random acts of kindness. For each act they are entitled to get ten points. The first three winners will be given prizes worth Rs 25000/-, 15000/- and 10,000/- The Regional Grand Master of Regional Grand Lodge of Southern India, Abraham Markos flagged off the Treasure Hunt and three ARGMs Praful K. Sahgal, S. Janardhan, John Zacharia joined him as guests of honour Drishti, A 500 Cataract Surgeries Common Charity Project of Freemasons of Telangana worth Rs 25 lakh, was launched. A Common Charity Program of Freemasons of Telangana region it is taken up in association with L V Prasad Eye Institute. Together with LV Prasad Eye Institute, the official partner of the project, Freemasons aim at 500 Cataract Surgeries worth Rs 25 lakhs to be done to the deserving poor people in next six month free of cost. The Cataract surgeries will also be done in association with Saadhuram Eye Hospital and Pushpagiri Eye Hospital. All the funds for the same are voluntarily contributed by Freemasons Lodges and members. Chief Guest Abraham Markos, together with three Assistant Regional Grand Masters—Praful K. Sahgl, S. Janardhan, John Zacharia presented a cheque as token amount of rupees one lakh on the occasion to Mahaveer C. Jain and others, the representatives of L.V. Prasad Eye Institute Earlier Freemasons of Telangana entered a MoU with LV Prasad Eye Institute for the same. Speaking on the occasion Mahaveer Jain said The single aim of LV Prasad Eye Institute is to eliminate blindness from the society. Abraham Markos lauded the efforts of Lodge Keys for organising Treasure Hunt uninterruptedly for twelve long years for charitable causes. He also appreciated Telangana Freemasons for taking up a Free Common Cataract Surgeries Charity Project benefitting 500 poor people who are suffering with blurred vision. Regional Grand Lodge of Freemasons in South is giving a matching grant for this project. Manvendra Mishra, Chairman and P.
