125 units of Blood Collected
Ludhiana, February 7, 2019: The National Service Scheme units of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, along with Bhai Ghaniya Ji Mission Society, organized a voluntary blood donation camp supported by Rotary Club, Ludhiana.
The camp was inaugurated with Ardas by college principal Dr.Sehijpal Singh. He congratulated NSS unit for this great effort. He further added that such camps show students' responsibility towards society.
On this occasion, Program Officer of NSS, Dr.Harpuneet Singh and Coordinator Prof.Jaswinder Singh Khalsa were also present. Dr.Harpuneet said that the blood donation camps were a regular NSS activity and students show extra ordinary zeal for donating blood.during these camps. On behalf of Bhai Ghaniya Ji Mission Society, Jathedar Taranjit Singh Nimana, Bhai Parvinder Singh and others participated. Jathedar Nimana stated that every year, G.N.E. College students take part in blood donation with great zeal.
This was the 301st Blood Donation camp organized under aegis of Bhai Ghaniya Ji Sewa Mission. More than 125 students donated blood during this camp. The teams of Red Cross, Krishna Hospital and Dayanand Hospital supported the blood donation camp. On this occasion, President ,Rotary club ,Ludhiana: Er. Mohinder Singh Dhaliwal who himself is an alumnus of the college said that rotary club was engaged in number of social upliftment projects and was extending help to all sections of the society for their upliftment. , Er. Balbir Singh , Project Coordinator, Sh. S.P.Karkara, Er. Charanjit Singh from Rotary Foundation were also present.
Thanking the students for their over whelming response and Bhai Ghaniya Society, Dean students Welfare Dr. Jasmaninder Singh Grewal said that the efforts put in by students was praiseworthy.
