11 CASES REGISTERED in Ferozepur district in one day

Ferozepur, March 28, 2013: As per the Crime Report released by the police department, the law and order situation in Ferozepur district is reported to be okay but the crime is being committed in the district at different places in the districts every day. 

On Thursday, as many as 11 different cases were registered, of which one under IPC, one under Mining and Mineral Act, seven of  NDPS Act and two of Excise Act.

In the eight cases, the criminals have been arrested, in two cases they released after getting the bail and in one case no arrested has been made so far.

Giving the details, SSP, Ferozepur said, at Lakho Ke Behram three persons have been booked on the complaint of Amritpal and the reason stated to be personal enmity.

At village Shanga Khurd, one tempo loaded with sand despite ban on mining was seized.

Heroin weighing 16 gm at village JallaChak in Makhu, and 500 poppy husk, 60 tablets of Alplrex and 100 tablets of Fetadol from village Bholu Wala were recovered allegedly from Baldev Singh.

In another case, 4 kg poppy husk from village Shushak from Bohar Singh, 5 gm smack from Rajwinder Singh of village Karma, 1000 tablets Fenotil from Bhim Singh of Ferozepur City, 2000 intoxicant tablet from Puran Singh of village Kasu Begu, besides illicit liquor was allegedly recovered from Sandip Kumar and Rajesh Kumar of Ferozepur Cantt.
