Ludhiana, November 9, 2014: 1006th free artificial limbs distribution camp was held today at Viklang Shayata Kendre, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana. Artificial limbs, calipers, wheel chair & hearing aids were given to 15 physically handicapped persons. The camp was sponsored by Ludhiana Invincible Round Table 202. Gurpreet Gogia, Chairman of Ludhiana Invincible Round Table 202 told that their organization is extending help to various NGOs. Members of the association distributed the limbs with their own hands. Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab co-hosted this camp.
Narinder Mittal, Secretary Trust that said since 1996 Trust has organized 1005 camps in which artificial limbs, Calipers, Crutches, Tricycle & Hearing aids have been provided to more than 41,800 physically handicapped persons. The Trust has also organized Polio Surgery Camps, in which 2088 polio operations have been done successfully. Trust has also organised Nasha Mukti Camps & Medical Camps. He further informed that Trust will establish modern workshop for manufacture of Artificial Limbs and hosiery training centre will be started with the help of NSIC very soon.
