1 kg Heroin and ammunition found from BOP Muthianwala

Ferozepur, September 8, 2014: Vigilant BSF troops today achieved a major success and seized four kilogram heroin from Border Out Post (BoP) Muthianwala.
R. K  Thapa, DIG, BSF, Ferozepur Sector, informed that during wee hours, the BSF troop of 191 Bn (Ex-191), deployed at BOP Muthianwala found a suspicious object thrown over the border security fence in the fields on own side of border security fence. Immediately the vigilant BSF troops rushed towards the direction of sound and found 2 packets in the fields on Indian Territory along Border Security Fence. One of the packets was containing contraband, suspected to be heroin and the other packet contained 01 pistol, 2 magazines and 13 rounds.
The miscreants managed to escape taking advantage of wild growth in the area and tall paddy crops.
