Triana Alonso, a Kabaddi player from the United States of America (USA), undergoing treatment at DMCH, Ludhiana on Wednesday.

Ludhiana: Triana Alonso, a Kabaddi player from the United States of America (USA) complained of spinal and knee injury while doing practice at the local Guru Nanak Stadium today following which she was taken to Civil Hospital here in an ambulance.  

She is to participate in the ongoing 3rd World Cup Kabaddi 2012.  

As per the available information, Alonso complained of severe pain while doing practice in the ground. She was virtually seen crying for help.

Seeing her in such a situation, the USA team officials, police personnel and others rushed to her. They brought a spray to use as an ointment to come out of the pain immediately. But, Alonso refused to do so, as she wanted to consult the doctor first.

Further, it is learnt that the USA Kabaddi team coach, Lakhbir Sahota suggested to rush Alonso to a good private hospital for medical treatment. He even assured that they were ready to bear the medical expenses on Alonso’ medical treatment. But the concerned officials did not agree on the plea that the local Civil Hospital doctors were highly qualified. Besides, the officials even said if needed Alonso could be referred to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana.
Meanwhile, Sources told that Alonso was taken to DMCH, Ludhiana after she was checked up at Civil Hospital.
