U-19 Team of Cambridge overall winners in Athletic Championship

Jalandhar, November 17, 2014: In the C.B.S.E Cluster Meet held at C.T.Public School, Jalandhar the Under-19 team of Cambridge International School for Girls and Cambridge International School Co-Ed has brought laurels to the school by becoming the overall winners in this Athletic Championship. 2 Gold, 4 Bronze and 1 Silver medal were won by our girls. Avneet Kaur Bajwa bagged two gold medals for High Jump and Long Jump while silver medal was bagged by Jasleen Lally in Discuss Throw. Bronze medals were awarded to Harsimran, Navneet and Mehakdeep for 100m, 200m and 800m respectively. Mehakdeep also bagged Bronze medal for Triple Jump. Our Athlete Karanpreet Singh also awarded with Silver medal in 200m and Bronze medal in 100m.

In the Under 16 category Chandandeep Purewal won Gold medal in High Jump.

In the Under 14 category, Aashima Yadav won Bronze medal in 400m. Besides these achievements the girls added another feather to the crown of Cambridge by winning Bronze medals in both 4x100m and 4x400m Relay race. The team members were: Avneet Kaur Bajwa, Yashuti Sharma, Navneet Kaur, Harsimran and Mehakdeep kaur Purewal. The athletes of our school have been selected for C.B.S.E. Nationals to be held in Gujarat in the month of January.

In the state level P.S.E.B. Meet Avneet Kaur Bajwa brought laurels to the school name with yet another set of her achievements. She won Gold medals in Long Jump, High Jump and Triple Jump. Another athlete of our school Simran Parmar bagged Bronze medal in 100 m race.

The proud winners were congratulated by Chairman Ajay Bhatia, Vice Chairman Deepak Bhatia, Director J.K.Kohli, Principal Deepa Dogra, Vice Principal Preeti Sharma, Headmistress Kiranjot Kaur (Co-ed), Co-Ord. A.S.Sikand, HOD Harpreet Kaur and HOD nurag (Co-ed)  to all the students for their crowning glory and encouraged them to continue to strive harder.
