New Delhi, October 15, 2014: The Additional Special Judge for CBI Cases, Hyderabad has convicted S.Babu Rao, then Stenographer Grade I(then PA to Air Commodore), Air Force Station, Hakimpet, R.R.District, Hyderabad U/s 7 and 13(1)(d) of PC Act, 1988 in a bribery case and sentenced him to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.50,000. Out of the fine amount of Rs.20,000 is to be paid to the complainant.
CBI investigation revealed that the accused had demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs.20,000/-from the complainant for exonerating him from departmental charges.
