Thomson Reuters on the death of Dame Helen Alexander

TORONTO, August 7, 2017: The Thomson Reuters Founders Share Company today confirmed with deep regret that its Chairman, Dame Helen Alexander, has died.

Dame Helen joined the Founders Share Company board in 2011, and served as Chairman from January to July of this year when she took a leave of absence. Current acting Chairman Kim Williams will continue to serve in that capacity on an interim basis while a search is conducted for a new Chairman.

“It has been a privilege to serve alongside Dame Helen,” said Mr. Williams. “Her contributions and stewardship of the Board will be profoundly missed.”
