Soldiers of The Indian Armed Forces Felicitated At ''SALUTE THE BRAVEHEARTS'' Event At Select City Walk, New Delhi

~The shopping destination lined up to salute the brave soldiers of the nation~
New Delhi, July 24, 2017: Saluting the bravado and courage of the fearless soldiers of the Indian Army, SELECT CITYWALK paid tribute to the sons of the nation on the evening of 22nd July, 2017.

To mark the start of the occasion, 100 students of The Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, proud children of the brave soldiers, painted army vehicles, conveying the gratitude of a grateful nation to our soldiers who selflessly serve the country in war and in peace alike.

The visitors witnessed a beautiful masterpiece of a soldier in the mall premises. Soulful performances, poignant speeches and video films in the Plaza were organized on 22nd July in the presence of martyrs’ families, war veterans, esteemed dignitaries from the Armed Forces, students and a huge audience of shoppers and visitors.

Guests also witnessed a musical tribute on sitar, army band display, a beautiful laser show and a mini film festival based on the Defence Forces. Colonel Dharamveer (the role played by Akshay Khanna in the movie Border) who fought the battle of Longewala was the guest of honour at event.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Inder Sharma, Chairman, Select CITYWALK said, “It is a moment of great pride for us to be able to host an evening for our brave heroes and their families. We can never forget how courageously they’ve fought for the nation, endured hardships, faced dangers and continue to do so selflessly. We salute their spirit – always & everytime!”

The event witnessed the presence of a lot of decorated war veterans like Lt. Gen. Kalkat, Col. Dharamvir, Maj. Gen. Katoch as well as the families of our War Heroes like Vikram Batra, Manoj Pandey & Anuj Nayyar to name a few. The veterans and the families of the martyrs were felicitated by the First Lady of the Indian Army Mrs. Madhulika Rawat, Wife of the Chief of the Indian Army along with Directors of Select City Walk Mall, Mr. Yograj Arora and Mr Arjun Sharma.

Select City Walk Mall has been organising "Kargil Diwas" since last 5 years. This year the event was proudly managed by Innovations India who are specialists in organising events for the defence forces in India and have been doing the same for more than 18 years now.
