SIMS doctor attended media clinic

Guwahati: Dr K Appaji Krishnan, a senior Spine surgeon from SIMS Hospital Chennai conducted the weekly OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club on 15 September, where over 20 media persons received free consultations. Dr Jayanta Deka (PT) and Binay Hatikakoti from the hospital assisted the physician in conducting the camp.
Till date, practicing doctors from Apollo Chennai Hospital, Manipal Bangalore Hospital, Fortis Hospital Bangalore, Medanta-the Medicity Hospital, GNRC Hospitals, Down Town Hospitals, Dispur Hospitals, Hayat Hospital, Wintrobe Hospital, Nemcare Hospital, Narayana Super-Specialty Hospitals, Sight First eye-clinic, Swagat Super-Surgical Institute, Barthakur Clinic, Rahman Hospitals, Sun Valley Hospital, Government Ayurvedic College, MMC Panbazar etc have attended the camps.
The next weekly camp, organized under the series of ‘Evening with a Doctor’ programs, will be graced by Dr Sourav Gohain Barua
(Pediatrician) from Ayursundra Hospital on 23 September. The camp will start at 4 pm and conclude by 6 pm. Member-journalists may bring their children (up to 12 years) for a general check-up in the camp.
The camps, even though organized for the benefit of press club members along with their close relatives, any journalist of the region can take advantages of the initiative, said a statement issued by the GPC adding that similar initiatives may also been planned by other media organizations, where the GPC would be happy to play the role of a facilitator.
