Shakahari at JW Marriott Pune introduces a Bengali and Varanasi menu this Diwali

Pune, October 12, 2017: Shakahari, JW Marriott Pune’s gem of a specialty vegetarian restaurant, is introducing a festive menu with authentic Bengali and Varanasi culinary favorites this Diwali.

Curated by Maharaj Jai Kishen and the team, the festive menu will be a royal experience comprising of inspired dishes, hand crafted to perfection. The culinary masterpieces have been created with the objective of enticing the taste buds with traditional Bengali and Varanasi charisma.

The exciting new menu will offer an array of traditional recipes which will showcase the varied flavours and culinary techniques originating from the region. The Bengali menu will feature Chorchori made from farm fresh vegetables mixed in aromatic spices or a traditional Bengali vegetable curry called Sukto or Chanar Dalna, an ancient Bengali delicacy of soft cottage cheese dumplings simmered in a mild tomato curry. Diners can also indulge in Cholar Dal Narkol Diye which embraces lentils cooked with delicious fried milky coconut pieces and is best combined with fresh, hot luccis or the light Koraishutir Kachori.

In the Varanasi section, Shakahari offers as extensive a range with delectable Kaju Mutter Makhane, a well-balanced, flavor rich curry imbibed with cashews, winter peas, or bathe your palate with Kali Mirch ke Aloo, a household recipe of potatoes tossed in clarified butter ordained with freshly cracked black pepper. For the guests with a sweet tooth, the Mishthan Bhandar at Shakahari leaves them spoilt for choice with a large variety of mouthwatering delicacies.
