Ludhiana, May 26, 2017: BJP MP and the party in-charge for Ludhiana Shwet Malik has emphatically said today that SAD-BJP combine would jointly contest the forthcoming elections to Municipal Corporations in Punjab.
Speaking to the media persons at circuit house here, he added that the relationship between SAD and BJP was very much strong.
He asked the ruling Congress government in the state to fulfill its poll promises and satisfy people of the state. He claimed that people belonging to all sections of the society were unhappy. He said people were also suffering from long power cuts in the state.
He said BJP was such a party which did not believe in nepotism. Citing his own example, he told that he himself had started his political career as a small worker followed by holding different posts in BJYM and BJP, and at present, he was a Member of Rajya Sabha. He added there were many other leaders in the party whose families did not have any political background. These leaders included Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah.
Malik also highlighted the achievements of three years of the Modi-led government at the Centre.
