The recent decision of the National Green Tribunal to lift the ban on construction activity in Delhi-NCR is a welcome move. Earlier, Green Tribunal was forced to impose the ban on such activities in Delhi-NCR after noticing adverse changes in climate. Here are the quotes of few real estate stalwarts on this move by the NGT:

Gaurav Gupta, General Secretary-CREDAI Ghaziabad & Director, SG Estates
The realty sector was indeed expecting such a decision that was recently made by the green tribunal. Though the ban period was not prolonged for a larger duration it could possibly affect the real estate sector adversely. Hopefully, the whole of real estate sector would now be more careful and considerate towards the environment and proceed with its construction work keeping in mind all the rules and regulations suggested by the NGT.

Deepak Kapoor, President-CREDAI Western UP & Director, Gulshan Homz
Due to the recent unfortunate shape of the environment, it actually became important for the National Green Tribunal to bring in some serious action. Now that the situation has started to fall into place, they have removed the ban which is a good news for real estate sector. We being the part of this sector should also consider the environment and make sure that our actions don’t cause harm to the environment.

Manoj Gaur, Vice President-CREDAI National & MD, Gaurs Group
This decision from the National Green Tribunal has come up with a good news for the real estate sector but the prior decision has raised an important aspect regarding the environment for all of us. We have to be extra careful with our construction activities and pay extra attention towards environment safety. Water sprinkling is something we would consider more important to ensure no such situation arises again.
