Ramgarhia Girls College proves its mettle at Inter-Varsity Level

Ludhiana, January 31, 2015: After winning the coveted over-all trophy at Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival and garnering a number of prizes at Inter-Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival, the students of Ramgarhia Girls College again made their mark at Punjab State Inter University Heritage Youth Festival 2014-15 organised by Punjab Kala Parishad (Govt.of Punjab), Chandigarh at Sikh National College, Banga (District S B S Nagar) on January 29 and 30, 2015. Panjab University, Chandigarh, participated in 31 items and got eleven first prizes, sixteen second and four third prizes. The college represented the university in three items and bagged two first prizes and one second prize. The team of Kali and Harpreet Kaur in Pakhi Making beat a number of universities and bagged first prize in both the categories. The quiz team of the college clinched second prize. 

The college Principal, Dr Narinder Sandhu congratulated the winners and faculty members. She underlined that reaching Inter-Varsity level is an achievement in itself and the students have indeed proved their mettle by clinching these prizes. 

Ranjodh Singh, President and Jagtar Singh, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council, also appreciated the endeavours of the students and added that such milestones can only be achieved through the hard work put in by the students and the sincere guidance provided by the teachers. Dr. Nirmal Jaura, Director, Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, Chandigarh, averred that the students of Ramgarhia Girls College have always given their best in various competitions and their performance at the inter-varsity level is also commendable.
