Chandigarh, July 6, 2017: Information & Public Relations Employees' Association, Punjab today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Superintendent (Retd) Mr.Chaman Lal Dhiman (59), who passed away in a private hospital at Dera Bassi after a prolonged illness last night. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.

Sharing their heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, the Association described Mr.Dhiman as an honest, dedicated and hardworking officer, who proved to be an asset to the department for his positive approach to ensure welfare of all sections of the employees during his long service tenure spanning over nearly four decades.

Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary Information & Public Relations Mr.Tejveer Singh, Director Information & Public Relations Mr.Gurkirat Kirpal Singh and Additional Director Information & Public Relations Dr.Senu Duggal also deeply mourned the death of Mr.Dhiman.

The members of the Association also observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect in the memory of departed soul. They also prayed to the Almighty to give enormous strength to the members of the bereaved family to bear this huge loss in this hour of grief and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.

Mr. Dhiman was cremated at Rambagh Cremation ground at his native place Derabassi this afternoon. His several relatives, friends and colleagues attended the cremation including Additional Director Public Relations Press to Chief Minister Mr. Opinder Singh Lamba, Joint Director Mr. Surinder Malik, Dr. Ajit Kanwal Singh, Mr. Randeep Singh Ahluwalia and Mr. Prabhdeep Singh Kalra (all Deputy Directors) besides Superintendents Mr. Kamaljeet Singh and Mr. Amarjit Singh.
