Punjab Government gives appointment letters to 254 JEs as Diwali Gift- Rana Gurjit Singh

Chandigarh, October 17, 2017: Punjab Government today gives appointment letter to 254 Junior Engineers of Irrigation Department as Diwali Gift to these young people.

Disclosing this here today, Irrigation and Power Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh said that the approval to appoint these 254 JEs in Irrigation Department was given today in hurry on the instructions of the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to ensure a happy Diwali for all these young people. He further added that Punjab Government is committed to fill all the desired vacancies of Irrigation department on priority besides upgrading its infrastructural requirement to increase its efficiency.

Congratulating the newly appointed JEs, Rana Gurjit Singh said that he was feeling satisfied that their department has given job opportunity to young and dynamic youth to utilize their skill for the betterment of the state. “It gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations to you on your appointment as JE. I trust that you will continue to work for the improvement of Irrigation Department and wish you every success in your new duties”, said Rana Gurjit Singh in his congratulations message to new appointees.

Reiterating the commitment of providing employment opportunities to youth, Rana Gurjit Singh said that Punjab government under the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh has been fully committed to fulfill every commitment made during Vidhan sabha elections. He said that providing employment opportunities to the youth of the state is the topmost priority of the Punjab Government.
