PUNJAB CM GREETS PEOPLE ON EID-UL-FITR

Chandigarh, June 25, 2017: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder has extended his warm greetings to the people, especially the Muslims, of Punjab on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In his message, the Chief Minister said the festival, which marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan, underlines the plurality of the Indian cultural ethos. He exhorted the people to celebrate the festival in a spirit of harmony and togetherness, by rising above the parochial considerations of caste, colour, creed and religion.
He called upon one and all to imbibe the spirit of brotherhood that is intrinsic to the festival, which teaches us the values of compassion and tolerance.
